Summer 2016 has been a bit of a washout to such an extent that I am already considering short-haul,, sunshine next July to brighten our spirits. Our last foreign holiday, three years ago, was quite a challenge depite fore-warning both the airline and the tour company in advance via the travel agent. What with jobsworth security in Belfast, non-Houdini-proof door fittings at our accommodation and autism-ignorant holidaymakers, I keep reminding myself that things can change and I guess, "Needs must!!" I was particularly pleased to see that Dublin airport as well as Belfast International seem more autistim aware and are keen to portray themselves as more autism friendly. https://www.dublinairport.com/at-the-airport/passenger-information/special-assistance/autism-asd http://www.belfastairport.com/special-assistance/autism-awareness
