Fortunately, I can breathe a loud sigh of relief that Number 1 son got into his first choice school. We met with another clinical psychologist and a continence nurse. We also attended an interesting course on "Attention Autism" organised by The Middletown Centre which implemented a structured plan of gaining children's attention via a lidded bucket and boundless enthusiasm.

Little Houdini celebrated his 5th birthday and enjoyed carefully tearing open presents. Disney's Doc McStuffins and Jake & The Neverland Pirates are particular "passions" at the moment.
Although he sings "Happy Birthday" beautifully, he is yet to blow out the candles, preferring to stare at the intricacies of light. Such moments of innocent wonder can melt even my cynical heart.
